Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College has been established in the year 1981 by Ananda Social and Education Trust. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college runs the MBBS program as well as post-graduate courses in many subjects that are recognized by the Medical Council of India. The hospital with 600 beds is also situated on the campus. Dr BR Ambedkar Medical College Admission is done through entrance exam like NEET. The college offers full-time 5 years MBBS program at undergraduate level. The intake of MBBS students per academic year is 100, out of which 10% belong to SC/ST category candidates. It also provides MS, MD and diploma programs at postgraduate level.
